So, I need to see the dermatologist
For something that looks vaguely malignant. My GP referred me and the first appointment I could get was in JANUARY! But we don't want universal health care now, do we. Because that would result in long waits.

1. I'm in the same boat with the rheumatologist.
I made my appointment last November, and the first opening they had was for THIS October. #%&^*@#!!

2. i've had skin cancer several times -- complete with chemo --
and the whole nine yards. i know how frustrating that can be -- if it's squamish or melanoma -- it's best if you don't wait that long. you might -- if you can -- use a plastic surgeon -- which is what i did. the stitching is better and they are just as good as a dermatologist, if not better sometimes.

3. I don't think I need a plastic surgeon
It's on a body part that doesn't show that much. But I do need to get moving and find a doctor.

4. please do -- squamish and melanoma can change
and spread quickly. mine weren't anyplace that showed either -- but my doctor had used a plastic surgeon for the same thing -- so i did. i did try a dermatologist for the same condition once. but it was an awful experience -- but that's personal -- and you may not have the same experience. i loved my plastic surgeon -- he was fast and concerned. a real mensch.
