Sounds like a powerful handgun, probably about half a block away.

Lovely. :sarcasm:

1. My dear Prisoner_Number_Six...
Oh, lovely...

Nothing like the sounds of handgun fire to make you feel safe...

NOT!

5. Could be a cop
They had one of those little portable police towers set up in the parking lot across the street earlier today- the one they can raise up about twenty five feet. Mirrored windows, 360 degree angle of vision- hopefully they'll stay for a while and calm the block down a bit. I live on the edge of what they call the 'Hood (named with good reason).

Such is life.

trust me there is nothing positive in "it could be a cop"

you're new to this

"it could be a cop" is not a good thing

3. Thank the gun control people.

14. The O.P. was complaining about the noise.
Thanks to gun control laws you have to get a tax stamp for a silencer. It seems to me if silencers were not so difficult to obtain the original poster would not be disturbed by the gunfire. I am sorry if I offended you in some way, perhaps I should have worded it better. :headbang:

A second gunman?

I know, I'm a dork - just trying to make you smile.

Hang in there.

9. That's about thirty or so miles away from me.
It really is an important place to visit, at least once- you can almost still feel the tension still hanging in the air.

The sound of gunfire, off in the distance
I'm getting used to it now

one thing i've learned in this life, people can get used to anything, altho i would appreciate if never again anyone actually fired INTO my house
