How do I promote my blog?

My blog's fairly new, and it's gotten a bit of readership, but I'd really like it to be more well-known. Any ideas on how I could do this? (I'm doing a couple blog carnivals in the next few weeks, maybe that will help).

Seriously, sweetie, i remember HS sucking so much... i just wanted to offer you some encouragement, because you are LIGHT-YEARS ahead of most of those cretins. You have a (beautiful) self-identity, and confidence, and a strong voice, and those are things that most of your class-mates will not acquire for years (if ever).

RSS/Atom/etc. I, like many people, am too lazy to go to a website to read a blog. I'll read it religiously if I can get it sent to my inbox.
