and I'd never want to compare them. It's like comparing cars and boats.

Anyway, I love them all and I'm quite sure I'd go into a burning building for any of them. The thing about dogs is that their love really is unconditional. Rosie's loyalty to me is truly humbling. I never feel worthy of all she gives me. She gives everything she has to give. No matter what.

I will say this about cats. Cats are the world's foremost authorities on comfort, and there are few sights as restful as a couple of cats lounging together. Rosie, on the other hand, often makes me wince when I see her sleeping. She thinks nothing of sleeping for hours with a shoe under her ribs.
