9. On some teevee show in the early '70s

I heard a coupla guys take off on that using rock bands like the Who and Yes.

13. There was an "Animaniacs" cartoon from the mid-90's with the same gag.

It ended with Slappy Squirrel inducing the members of the Who to smash their instruments.
