This weekend, I bottled 12 gallons of hard cider. picked 8 quarts of fiddleheads
and cut up and split a cord of firewood.

Next weekend - in goes teh garden...

3. I thought it would be Maine! I've spent a lot of time up at
Goose Rocks Beach. There's a patch up there. What will you do with all those fiddleheads?

5. Cleaned, blanched and froze them in pint batches - some for Thanksgiving
some for beer-battered deep-fried fiddleheadds this spring and summer...

6. We picked and pressed 9 boxes of "wild" apples last fall
then primed it when we bottled it - it's just like champagne when it gets its "fizz"...

Can't get them here except the Belle o' Maine canned ones by mail order.

And, yes I'm going to do some hot dilly beans this summer.

At Christmas, we had Bartlett Vineyards pear wine, Nezinscot Farms cheese :thumbsup: and hot dilly beans over at my brother's house.

Sounds like a strange combo, but it was wicked good...
