No Country for Old Men (Spoiler, and a question)
Dont read on, if ya haven't seen the movie.

Okay, then, nice ending! But Im confused, who actually got the money in the end???? Ive have been on different sites and have been told different things, one site said Chigurh gets the money in the end, another site said Tommy Jones charcarter did.

Below is what has been written about the ending, who is right?????

Moss (Brolin) is ambushed and killed by the Mexicans looking for their money. Chigurh (Bardem) murders many, many people, including Woody Harrelson’s character and his character’s boss (a very young looking Steven Root) before finding the money (implied, not shown). He then murders Moss’ wife (off screen and chillingly conveyed later when he looks at the bottom of his boots as he leaves her house). He’s involved in terrible car crash leaving the scene, but he just limps away. Tommy Lee Jones’ sheriff retires to get away from all the bloodshed.

You know how the Sheriff goes to the motel after Moss has been murdered and Chigurh is still hiding inside? Well I think he got the money then. When he's telling his wife about his dream of Daddy at the end, he says his pa was asking him about the money. The fact that Chigurh has apparently murdered Carla Jean also indicates to us that HE hasn't got the money. He satd he wouldn't kill her if he got it. That's my take on it anyway.

3. Well that's a new one.
I've never heard it suggested that the Sheriff got the money. No, he's looking for much, but he did not get the money.

The focal scene in the motel when Moss has been murdered is not how it happened in the book. Read the book, only in an imaginary world could the sheriff take. There is no hint of that at all.

4. He said he promised to kill her unless brolin's character gave him
the money so I think he didn't have the money. He didn't have it when he walked away from the accident with a broken arm. I tuned out at the end. Didn't listen to the sheriff's story. Too much blood I guess. I thought i wouldn't watch the movie cause of the topic. But it wasn't that bad. I mean not as bad as kill bill.
