I had one of those a while back... goddamn that was annoying. I posted something over in LGBT about a lesbian couple in Maine whose house was vandalized and had anti-gay stuff spraypainted on it and whatnot and at the end I said something like, "See, this sort of thing doesn't just happen in 'the south'.", to point out that bigotry like that isn't limited to 'those places', it can happen in a blue state too.

And somebody started getting mad at me for defaming the south. :blinkblink: So I reiterated what I said... it DOESN'T just happen in the south. And this person continued to argue with me. Post after post, trying to argue that I was wrong because that sort of thing doesn't just happen in the south.
