Poll question: Do you have a "side" in bed?

Or does it matter.

I've recently went from king size to twin to have more space in my bedroom, and find myself loving being smashed against the wall by dogs. Most of my marriage the bed was open on the sides, so I never paid attention to that feature. I spent most of my time then on the very edge as far away as I could get :P

Do you have a preference?

But only because Mr. MG has always needed to sleep on the right side of the bed. When he's out of town or I sleep in the guest bedroom because I'm sick and need an uninterrupted night's sleep, I'm all over the bed.

5. Did that change like at motels or other people's houses?
Did Mr MG prefer the right, or maybe the "hind" as we called it here growing up. The side farthest from the door.

6. Nope, dude is consistent
MUST have the right side of the bed no matter what, no matter where. Good thing I don't have a preference or we woulda had issues early on in our relationship! :hi:

28. My hubby is exactly the same
I think it is mostly because he likes to sleep on his right side and run his arm up under my pillow. Otherwise the arm would hang off the bed.

Were I to share my bed things could become very difficult - I'm used to a double-bed to myself, and so would need a bed about 12 feet wide if there was somebody else there.

When I was alone on the king size bed I'd use the whole thing. I got to where I'd pile laundry baskets on one side so when I woke I could get my berings quicker.

I need to be on the right side because our dresser is on that side, and I need to be able to reach the alarm clock that sits on it. It is important that I have ready access so that I can rip the cord out of the wall and fling the clock when the snooze button doesn't work.

I somehow have set my alarm to go off twice a day. I think I set the second one was set for a TV show or something. It has been that way for a month or so and I keep forgetting to disable it.

Mostly on the side with the end table and tv (my left). Emma gets the rest of the bed. The cats get the end of the bed. The chimps get the side to the right of me up by my head. : (|)

hehe.

Your left is really the right from the foot. You have an Emma and chimps to your right or the left from the foot.

I do understand the "where my dog lets me" part. Thats how I found the wall. I got tired of getting skooched to the edge my my puppy. The wall rocks though. It is nice and cool too. :)

16. That seems simple enough
I was also trying to determine if stuff other than side has impact on the choice. Hehe, I always slept closest to the door and now I will want the wall if I am ever needing to decide :)

The alarm clock and electrical stuff is on my side and the door is on the other side. It just makes me feel like a gentleman if I am the one tripping over power cords instead of her.

i prefer to sleep on my left side, so i've always staked a claim to that side of the bed. it also means i can be spooned :D

if i'm sleeping alone, i tend to be all over the bed but that's only if the cats will let me. i often have to sleep around them because it's their bed and they just let me use it :P

Oktoberain has some back issues, and depending on how she's feeling determines her sleeping position.

I, on the other hand, can curl up anywhere, so i do... i just let her get comfy and then i snuggle up!

29. fem-right side-farthest from the door- closest to bathroom but that's new
we changed only recently when we figured out that me, with the nightly 'powersurges' was sleeping closest to the heater and farthest from the A/C outlet. d'oh!

it took some transition though..... and we don't have animals that sleep on the bed, but watch your step in the middle of the night, they are sprawled every where across the entire bedroom floor :rofl:
