Son of a bitch.
TM and her boyfriend went to Busch Gardens today. As per their :eyes: policy, they locked their backpack, with keys, camera, money, etc., into a locker.

Well, you guessed it, locker was broken into everything was stolen. Everything.

Gah.

So, my home and auto plan will pay for a new key, BUT, since MY name is on the title, I have to BEG the guy to release the key to her.

Wish me luck, peeps.

Oh, and kids suck.

2. that sucks big time.
you have my deepest sympathies on the complications this episode will create. Did the locker area by any chance, have video surveillance? or would that be asking too much? :hi:

7. UPDATE:
Jeez.

So, I had to go and bring her key to her. They were essentially stranded and Busch Gardens 'Security' did absolutely nothing to help them. Not a fucking thing.

The CEO is getting a fucking earful tomorrow and if he isn't apologetic, I've got my LTTE ready to go.

Moral of the story: If you are going to insist that people lock up their backpacks, make sure the fucking lock works, you fucking morans.

9. Our thoughts exactly.
They INSISTED that the kids lock up the backpack....hmmm.

Essentially stranded a 17yo and a 16yo. What if I hadn't been home? What if they had driven down for the day from Pennsylvania intending to also go to Colonial Williamsburg today?

Boggles the mind.

Mr. is currently changing the locks, (forgetting that we have a policy to cover that, :eyes: )

Have to get her car rekeyed, since they have her keys and our address.

What a fucking mess.

11. They said that stuff falls out of pockets when they go on some
of the rides that go upside down.

I think they're full of crap.

12. yeah...
...I would wear cargo pants with zip pockets.

Do they make people take off neckwear and hats? I spose one could wear a pouch on a chain -- kind of like those passport holders people wear.

13. No, they're right on that one
even though totally shitty on the rest of the stuff.

When I traveled with the carnival, rides like the zipper, any of the upside down rides, the tilt-a-whirl and any other whiplash rides were known as 'shake' rides. Operators were able to double and sometimes triple the amount they were legitimately paid from what could be thrown out of pockets and purses. Even zippered ones.

15. a water park we frequent has employed kids to watch all the lockers
Edited on Sun May-11-08 06:49 PM by tigereye
you have to show your tag for them to open the locker...

Busch Gardens is probably too large for that, but it's a good system...

sorry about their bad experience...

16. Gee.
my first thought when seeing the Subject line was "That is some crazy Mothers Day post... "

The truth is - this really looks like an inside job - those lockers are not easy to bust into.

File a police report.
