Who won this bet?

My husband and I had a raging dispute over lunch regarding when Dave Thomas (the founder of Wendy's) died.

I claimed it was in the last five years. He claimed it was "like fifteen years ago," then relented a bit and said that he KNEW it was more than five years ago. We made a bet that if I was right, MRLaraMN would have to clean the downstairs toilet. If he was correct, I would have to let him return his green polo shirt to the closet and resume wearing it, and I was not allowed to hide or destroy it.

I looked it up on the 'net and it turns out Dave died six years ago. I feel I was closer in my estimation, because I guessed five years, and MrLaraMN (before he became all vague and stuff) initially claimed it was about fifteen years ago. I think I should win. I really, really do.

It appears that the bet was between the claims of (a) five years or less and (b) more than five years. This is purely based on the facts of the case as presented and his nothing to do with my fondness for ratty old shirts.

Well, the "four corners" of your agreement expressly states that you are setting a 5 year threshhold. He relented, albeit in a half-assed manner from his original 15 year proposal, but you didn't modify your 5 year assertion. Judge BlueDog finds for MrLaraMn...
