It is perfectly acceptable to use the 'dirty tramp' defense in civil cases. Everything she has ever done will become public knowledge, along with her face and name. The media will not protect someone going after a civil settlement.

She can't "drop the charges." Only the prosecutor can do that. Her only option would be to recant, which would obviously screw the D.A.'s case.

Why was that ok, but not about this case? Is this worse than a killing? Or is it that some of you females feel that it is not appropriate to joke about an alledged rape since the victim is also female? Would it have been OK if the victim had been a man? As far as I know, he has not been convicted of a rape yet, nor has it been proved that the girl was raped.
