1. Airtran has been good at getting me cheap flights from FL to MD
And they've been good in terms of servicewise, too.

Plus the XM radios are a nice touch.

7. I agree with that
Airtran is how I have gone to Atlanta. No problems at all, and on time or early.

3. Icelandic Air.
Because the pit stop halfway to Europe was nice.
And it is cheap.

The only airline I know of that you can stand in the aisle during take-off.

6. Air Atlanta, which went down the tubes many years ago.
The whole plane was first-class at coach fares.

8. NAVY AIR - Their VR squadrons
are the most reliable in the world. Ya know damn near everyone on the flight and they drop you off right where you are going. And their safety record is awesome.

16. Affectionately known as Poor Sailors Airways by those
attending Navy Bootcamp in San Diego way back when. We used to watch the PSA jets fly in and out of San Diego all day long while we were "trapped" on the grinder. Great Memories, since the San Diego Navy Bootcamp is now only History

14. Don't know which Airlines but the best flight was D-e-f-i-n-i-t-e-l-y
A Christmas day flight in which only three other passengers were on board.

The staff adopted me and brought me an ice bucket with champagne back to my coach seat. They sat and talked and played cards and gave me first class food with my drinks!!

(Yes I know - I used an entire third world nation's carbon footprint that day. But the plane would have flown even if I hadn't been on it!!)

19. 757
Is a great aircraft, I fly it sometimes on my flight simulator, but i prefer the 717

It is very rugged, like the 727

Although it could have been worse, as that could have punctured the window and have catastrophic
results, the pilots did wonders in flying to LAS and landing safely...

17. ANA: All Nippon Airways UNTIL
they redesigned their coach cabins and reduced both the leg room and the seat width. (Boo! Hiss!)

But I hear that they still have the world's sweetest flight attendants, good food, almost more beverage service than you can drink, and they were among the first to have seatback video screens with movies, TV, and games.

I've heard that their first class is the next best thing to being Emperor.

18. Garuda Indonesia Airlines
For me that was a luxurious flight. But then I'd been travelling rough through Asia so maybe it's relative.

I liked Virgin Atlantic until the last trip, when my legs had to be stowed in the overhead compartment.
