Wow - it's strange seeing places you know on TV.
Guy Fieri of "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives" shot a feature on Maria's Taco X-press here in Austin. Hell, he's shooting at the NEW Taco X-press. The OLD one was a REAL dive. Rachael Ray went to the old one, Guy. :eyes:

The segment is coming up after this commercial break, for those that care.

5. LOL - yes!
Midway through the video there's a guy named Bill White talking - he's an actor from my show. He was in my HOUSE (the purple one) - I was working in the yard and some people w/ cameras stopped and wanted to get a shot of him walking out of my house as if it were his... crazy. I don't know what it was for though.

7. No -
I'm not sure what the deal was. In all of the episodes I've seen I only saw my house in one - and that was just the garage. It was tan w/ white trim then. The house across the street was Maggie's house though - the one her mom burned down when she was visiting from .... dum dun DUNNNNNNNNNNN...... Michigan. ;)

22. Argh.
I just realized I typo'd this to say MY show instead of THE show - because I was thinking of MY house when I typed it. Too late for editing. :(

14. I had that reaction watching the movie "Shallow Hal"
Oktoberain and i rented it years ago, and through the whole first half of the movie, i kept telling her that some of the places looked oddly familiar, but i didn't know why.

Finally, a scene in a park (a park where i virtually grew up) was enough to make me go back and start it from the beginning; not only had the thing been shot in Charlotte, but it had basically been shot around my old neighborhood! I still watch it now and again if get homesick.

16. Try living in LA!
It's super funny to see what is clearly downtown LA used in CSI:New York. Or, even worse, seeing MY STREET on CSI:NY. :P

I can tell if a commercial or show is shot on the New York set at Warner Bros. It just has that "look".

21. Well, FYI
CSI:NY is shot across the street from my apartment...and I did not move to Manhattan recently. ;)

Not surprisingly, the lot has a "New York Street"...with a very eclectic mix of building styles, lol.
