Neil Diamond walked on the moon.

My son is six, just finishing up his kindergarten year.

On Saturday, Mr. LIW and I took the kids out running errands, and we stopped at Starbucks to fortify ourselves for the trip. While we were seated at a table waiting for our drinks, my son saw something across the room that interested him.

"Come here, Mom. I want to show you something!" He stood up, took my hand, and led me to the CD display. He pointed to a Neil Diamond record and said, "He was the first man on the moon! That's the guy that went to the moon!" His face was fairly glowing with excitement, so I hated to let him down, but I did tell him gently, "Sweetie, that was Neil Armstrong. This is Neil Diamond."

His face started to fall, and then I said, "Neil Diamond wrote the song I'm A Believer."

That cheered him right back up again.
