If we're talking about some restaurants tonight, let me tell you about my shitty experience
at a 99 a few miles from my place....

We go in there ( myself and a good friend of mine ). Now...we've been here before, many times and have never had a bad experience there. The service was excellent, and I have never been a service hound...but they usually are right there at your table when your iced tea or Coke is empty to re-fill it.

NOT TONIGHT.......

As a matter of fact, it took us at least twenty minutes just to get our damn drinks tonight ( mind you, the place wasn't that busy...I've seen it much busier ); it took another fifteen minutes just to order the damn food ( which turned out to suck tonight, too )! We spent almost two fucking HOURS waiting for our food, drinks, and tab afterwards......shit!!! The waitress looked like she was having a bad night, and I try to sympathize, but she had walked right past our table SEVERAL times as we were trying to get our tab and get the hell out of there!

What are some of your lousy restaurant experiences, DU?

1. Quite a few.
I'm a picky eater and I have some serious food allergies.

Went in a Bob Evans in MO; had never been in one. Got Beef Stroganoff. It was stringy. Asked the manager about it. She said she couldn't do anything since the dish was frozen and pre-fab from the company, so one batch was the same as another.

Same trip, went with a group to a winery. All the food had lots of salt; I don't drink alcohol. Totally wasted meal. I was so tired from the overpacked schedule the organizers had put together, that I was too tired to complain.

Have ordered nachos with NO JALAPENOS. They sent them out with jalapenos. I told them I ordered NO JALAPENOS, again. They took them back in the kitchen and just picked the jalapenos off. They sent them out. I tasted one and recoiled in horror, because the jalapeno juice was still on the nachos, and they thought i wouldn't notice.

I sent them back and told them to MAKE THEM OVER AGAIN.

ARRGHGHH!! :grr:

I refuse to eat at any Italian restaurant chains because they are incapable of making a dish without tomatoes in it. I'm allergic to tomatoes and they are too acid for me. I have had serious angry confrontations with waiters that no habla ingles. They no comprende shit.

Bad service is the least of my problems.

2. Usually Mexican places are WAY better than Italian at "NO TOMATE!"
As a fellow tomato allergy sufferer, I share your frustration with Italian places. Even waiters who speak English, DON'T GET IT. :P

3. Tex-Mex food has some tomatoes and chilies in the sauce too.
So if I eat a typical Tex-Mex dinner, I burp all night. And may get heartburn.

4. Christ...don't even get me started on Bob Evans......
I've been there TWICE and both times, they gave me silverware that was CLEARLY dirty! OH! don't bother asking for creamer for your coffee....they seem to think everyone drinks their coffee black, for some reason..if you ask for it, they give you an attitude.....

Oh...and their food? WAY...WAYYYYYYY over-rated!!!!
