Hot steaming FUCK - GRRRRRRRRRR
My washer is now leaking water.

I just want to go in the corner and cry.

2. I thought this thread was going in a whole different direction
Leaking at the hoses (easy fix) or at the bottom (repair person time)?

4. turn off the watter at the spigot and call the repair person back....
It could be as simple as loose hoses.

6. I called them
They may be out later today, they may not. Water is turned off, but I have a load of clothes in the washer with the washbasin full of water and soap.

13. Finish the cycle with the water off,..
at least 'til after the spin cycle is done. If the water stopped leaking after you turned off the spigots, that is a good thing. It is probably just loose hose(s). :)

19. Water still leaked after turning off the spigots
I turned off the washer with a full load and a full basin. I just have to wait now. It is not leaking now that it is not running.

9. It sounds like someone loosened something, and failed to tighten it.
Get'em back out.

In my mind, this is more of a cussing event than a crying event. I spent over $700 on a Kenmore Elite dishwasher less than 2 years ago. About 10% of the time, the detergent door fails to open. They've replaced a whole slew of stuff -- it still happens. Does my wife blame the manufacturer, the repair person, or the designer? Gosh, no -- she blames me! I love that!

12. been there, my dryer died so i bought a new one and then i went ahead and bought the matching washer
and i got rebates from SMUD and bosch and my water bill went down, i had to give your washer the bad juju but it might be worth looking in to a new one.

18. It would
make that leaking washer unimportant for about 10 minutes... then you would want to wash the sheets.

20. Sometimes a sock or other small item will get lodged in the drain hose.
That or a lose hose like others have said.

26. Another part broke
Which was not noticeable when the belts were broken. It is a plastic gear thingy that is making the washer spin in the wrong direction (so the water sprays AWAY from the drain hose thingy).

GRRRRRRRRRRR

He said to me today, "This is a really good washer."

I think he is blowing smoke up my ass.

30. It is covered under our homeowners warranty
I already paid the $55 service call fee, which has so far covered three visits, two belts and the labor to put them in.

They have placed an expedited order to hopefully come in tomorrow.

I am so less than amused right at the moment.
