"Possible side effects: flu like symptoms"
Well yeah! My lovely expensive interferon..I injected 48 hours ago and I do feel like I'm coming down with the flu...aching lymph nodes in the armpit (worse last night, but still present) achiness all over, fatigue, touch of sore throat, cough..Looks like I'm gonna have a GREAT holiday weekend. D'oh!:banghead:

1. O'Malley sez:

I'll keep you in my thoughts. How long is your treatment - a year? I've heard it also causes depression; that's why I won't do it.

Take care of yourself during this time.

3. Assuming my insurance covers it
(cause I can't pay out of pocket again) I'm on this indefinitely--maybe for a couple of years..My doctor seems to think that there is much better stuff in clinical trials...
Yeah, it can cause depression but I'm already on an anti-depressant anyway...

2. Ugh, that sucks.
:( I am glad to hear that you were finally able to get it, though. I hope it helps, and that the side effects diminish.

4. Rest, rest, rest
Maybe there is just an adjustment period to the drug.
