But it is sort of my native ground here: I was a regular there for a couple of years and moderated in it a while as well. God save me, it feels like home sometimes.....

I posted a bit in GD-P yesterday when things broke, figured I was too hot, and took the day off. Watched a couple movies (3:10 To Yuma and Syriana) and read a book.

I know who I support. I have no desire to run down other candidate(s), and no one is going to change my mind about the one I have chosen, so there's no reason to elevate my blood pressure.

At the risk of getting serious, I like both the remaining candidates, and have since the thing commenced. I do not care which gets the nod.

You know you don't HAVE to do in there. When you do, you know that
if you partake, it won't be good for you. Sometimes you do it anyway,
and sure enough, it wasn't good for you.

The temptation sometimes gets the better of you, and either you get
addicted, or it just gets easier and easier to pass it by.

As one who was put on dietary restrictions (for real) to save my life,
I already had the necessary will-power training. I'll sometimes post a
reply or two, and then ignore the angry ripostes. With McD, you sometimes
see obese people going in and out of there and wonder why they do it to
themselves. With GDP, it's not obesity, it's anger, and you wonder why
these people are so hostile--I've met hard line Republicans that weren't
that bad. Mistreated as children? Can't seem to find a boyfriend/girlfriend?
Car had 2 flats that morning? Milk bought just yesterday was already bad? Like
Gilda Radner's Roseanne Rosannadanna used to say, "it's always something."

I'd divide up the refrain of Joe Dolce's old song into 3 DU parts:
