Question for the guys... (and some girls too)
Why do so many guys (and some girls)
rip the sleeves off their tee shirts,
so the shirts are sleeveless?

Now that the weather is nicer, I see it all over...
guys with ripped sleeveless shirts...

Wouldn't it be easier to buy the shirts with no sleeves?
Or is it a 'manly' thing to rip them yourselves?

Maybe its a thing for guys who work out,
their muscles are so pronouned the sleeves won't fit,
but I see this same things goin' on with guys who
obviously do not work out..

Is there some secret cultic thing goin' on?

1. Well...
I do it because my job requires me to wear both an undershirt and a short-sleeve polo shirt and if I didn't the undershirt sleeves hang out the polo shirt sleeves.

I don't buy tee-shirts...I get enough free ones as is advertising various crap.

I doubt that reason applies to almost anybody but me.

2. Yeah but.. you do it out of sartorial necessity...
you don't want your undershirt to stick out of your 'work' shirt.
I get that..

But I see guys parading around with it done intentionally...

Fashion trend like girls letting their dark roots show below the blonding?
Like girls who let their bra straps show with their tank tops?
Maybe I'm just out of touch with the trends.

3. I have been guilty of removing the sleeves from t-shirts.
For the last 22 years I have worked in factories w/out air conditioning.
When the temperatures get mid 90-100 degrees the more exposed skin you have the better the fans feel.

Also I do like to show off my guns.
:)
