2. What is your favorite tree? Lending Tree

3. How many licks does it take to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop? More than I've ever wanted to attempt.

You knock on a front door, and a lady answers. She says, "Hello! My, what a beautiful maternity dress!" After a long enough pause for you to presumably answer, she looks embarrassed and says, "Oh, you're not." Funny by today's standards.

5. How do you get your mail? From my mailbox - out by the street.

4. Either the "He likes it! Hey Mikey!" Life Cereal commercial, or the "I'd Like To Teach The World To Sing" Coca-Cola Christmas commercial.
5. A row of mailboxes on the cross-street leading to mine. Interesting story about that. My mailbox and that of my neighbor used to be right on the cul-de-sac where we live. A mere thirty feet from my front door. Then our mail carrier complained to the Postmaster that the mailboxes had to be moved. He said the cul-de-sac was too small to turn around in, and that his mail Jeep was "too dangerous" to be around the neighborhood kids. Total bullshit. I tried to convince the Postmaster that moving the mailboxes to the cross-street was a bad idea, but no luck. He quoted some obscure postal law to me, along with the amount of the fine levied for disobeying it. So my neighbor and I moved our boxes to a location across a busy thoroughfare on the access road. Yeah, much safer than on a quiet dead-end street... :eyes:

42. Embarrassing.
1) Def Leppard
2) Weeping Willow
3) Ah one, ah two, ah three. THREE!
4) A cereal commercial advertising the octopus-like toy you could throw against the wall and it supposedly would "walk" down the wall. My brother and I thought that was the coolest thing ever, but it didn't walk. It just got all crummy, stuck to the wall for a few seconds, and fell to the carpet, accumulating lint on its damnable limbs.
5) mailbox in front of my home

43. Answers:
1. When you were a kid, like pre-high school, who was your favorite band or singer?

I thought bands and singers were only for the older kids, not for me. I suppose I remember liking the Beatles' Let It Be when it came out (I was 10).

2. What is your favorite tree?

A pine tree

3. How many licks does it take to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop?

No one knows the answer to that question

4. What is the earliest commercial you remember?

Not sure, but I do remember the Burt Lahr Lays Potato Chip commercials.

5. How do you get your mail? i.e., single mailbox in front of your house, or one of several mailboxes standing together, or a slot in your front door, or a mailbox attached to the wall next to your door, or or a community mail box (several boxes together, each with its key, either outdoors or in an apartment building), or a post office box, or other?

Mailbox attached to wall next to door.
