American Idol , next year's season (Beware, BIG spoilers inside...)

* Bad people are insulted badly by an overly egocentric putz and his two cohorts, one of which is apparently famous and wears way too much make-up.

* Good people are booted off by fickle voters, who are more interested in looks or if nothing else the "weirdo of the week". Whether that's due out of a desire to insult the show or insult themselves, I'll say the latter...

* Everybody always sings a song written anywhere between 5 and 50 years ago.
