being a foodie, a coffeemaster and food-service worker I better be able to. I have the other problem...I hate other people cooking for me because I'm usually better at it.

I have no expectations of being cooked for...if you can't cook, please don't feel you have to try for my benefit. I enjoy my torture to be consentual and involve ropes and fancy knots.

We all have skills and non-skills: I can cook, I can't hammer nails straight, I can home-decorate a space, I can't do basic math without a calculator, I can dress myself like a GQ model, I can't fold laundry (everything I own is on hangers.), I know which libations go with what foods, I have a dead thumb for plants, I can do dishes but have no recollection where the micro-plane grater goes without a map, I'm a great writer and poet, I can't paint a wall. I have no idea what an allen wrench or miter saw is.

We're all different...gender-based expectations are dumb.

Rather than abstain from sex, a woman should refuse to cook. "Oh, you want dinner, honey? Well then, cook it yourself!"

I do all the cooking, some of the cleaning and some of the laundry and I'm lucky to get sex once a month.

I do almost all of the cooking. If I cooking is supposed to be in exchange for sex, I'm owed years of sex without having to peel another clove of garlic. The thing is, I know that I have to act like I'm cooking to be nice, but the fact is that I'm just a much better cook and would rather eat my own food.... sometimes I feel bad about that, but, hell, I did the cooking, so what should she care?

cook as well! That's how we got to be so fat! Now we're training partners and down 160 lbs. between the two of us.

Or, to put the shoe on the other foot, just say to men "Hey? Annoyed about something? Then, instead of doing something reasonable, just refuse to treat your SO with any intimacy or feeling until they do what you tell them"

aka. "Who cares how you treat someone? Whatever you do to them, it doesn't matter." also known as the "Motivation? Who cares about supporting a significant other when you can just tell them to do as their told or bad things will happen"
