Just did a funeral for the kindest, gentlest, most interesting soul.

I'll miss Mary, but I'm grateful to have known her. I still have all the books she gave me (and they are legion!).

4. It was bittersweet, really. She had told me a little over a week ago

that she was ready to go. But everyone who loves her will miss her. She's been very generous to several community orgs, so she's left a good legacy. But she's also left an empty space. *sigh*
