OK, I'm a weather nerd-sue me.
I'm watching cloud movement from a motel balcony in Miami.
Day's Inn-4767 NW 36th St. The cloud movement is amazing.

Looking east, all circulation is counterclockwise-centered, by
my best guess somewhere near the eastern tip of Cuba.

Typical tropical movements this time of year, I suppose. Taken
as normal by locals much like Peggy wound ignore a 4.2 quake.

The surface wind matches cloud movement. WOW!

Yeah, I'm a nerd, a damn proud one.

1. You are a trucker, so you'd almost have to be a weather nerd!
You're all over. I love weather, and since I've been living in the midwestern part of the U.S. for the last 12 years, I'm quite the fan of the Weather Channel.

9. I was raised to look at the skies.
I grew up in the Southeast, and we did have tornadoes. I know what "weather" looks like!

10. I think living on the Gulf Coast, it's kind of natural to be a weather-nerd
:D

I tend to ignore most of the commercial sites and go straight to the source, the NWS :)

Here's a site for the Southern Region of satellite imagery, including water-vapor. I use that one the most, such as the following West Atlantic Water Vapor Loop.

12. It's amazing that you can see anything through the smoke.

:hi: I'm a weather nerd too. I love watching storms.
I've been in Florida during mild hurricanes because my stepmother and my father wanted to go deep sea fishing several times a year. I've got so many memories of being carried out to the car at 2 AM for a road trip to Pensacola.
