yesterday...Mostaccioli in marinara, scalloped potatoes, melon ball salad, and a slice of Boston Cream pie. Not my usual vegan fare, but I'm not one to pass up free food.

Haruka is making a spanikopita (frozen).

We spent a lot of time this evening staring at our beautiful new washer. At one point, she said, "I can't believe I'm standing in our (scary) basement, with a beer, watching my towels wash."

26. Soysage and Peppers.
1/3 pound Gimme Lean meat-free Sausage, chunked
1 Green Bell Pepper, chopped
1/4 Yellow Onion, chopped
1 tsp. Garlic, chopped finely
1 tsp. Crushed Red Pepper
6 oz. of your favorite pasta sauce
2 tsp. Olive Oil

Heat Oil in frying pan over medium heat.
Once hot, add Bell Pepper and Onion
Cook until soft and brown, approximately 12 minutes
Raise heat to High.
Add Sausage, Garlic, Red Pepper
Cook until garlic turns translucent and Sausage browns, approximately 2 minutes.
Toss and heat until warmed. 30 seconds max.

Serve over pasta with garlic bread and a good red wine or on a hard roll with provolone cheese.

27. Veggie curry with carrots, spinach, onions, green beans, and peas
i.e. what I had on hand, cashews, and my first attempt to see if the yogurt cheese sold by my co-op works as paneer. It almost does, but it's too soft and melts too readily. But it still tastes good. :7
