5. Hi BNL!
I especially enjoyed the special effects and scenery. It was shot, apparently, in New Zealand. :hi:

10. I do not intend to see it
I have decided that after rounding out the Harry Potter films I will never again see a movie based on a book I liked.

12. Hear ya!
I felt that way about "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe." But, that is the only book in the series I read....and probably why I enjoyed this movie more than the first.

13. That was just not such a great movie...
The books are good, if unapologetically Tory and Christian, but their charm is that they're pretty mellow and gentle, and very character-driven.

They really wanted to turn "Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe" into LOTR, when it's totally not.

15. I just did, was pleasantly surprised since I thought I'd hate it.
Yes, parts were slow moving, excess violence, deviated from the books. But I thought overall they did a good job and it was fun. Wondering how difficult it must've been for those kids to go from being kings and queens back to being ordinary kids. The movie starts with this in mind, then gets into going back and parts are rather funny, having the kids remember their king/queenships. And the Reepacheep (or whatever his name was) was good.
