Flan appreciation thread
Tonight my husband asked me, "Would you like some flan?"
I replied, "Is that a trick question?"

1. I made flan for the first time Saturday. It was much easier than I thought it
would be and turned out pretty good.

I used a Weight Watchers recipe, with fat free condensed milk and 1% milk and it tasted just fine. However I believe next time I will use a deeper pan, it was kind of thin.

I am practicing for a dinner party in July and I want to do them in individual ramekins to make serving easier. So next batch I make will be in the smaller containers, I think.

I LOVE FLAN!!!

5. to be truthful, anything is a WW recipe, if you can figure out the point value
which can be done with their recipe builder on their website. However this particular recipe did come from a WW cookbook.

Yes they have come a long long way and I have liked everything I have prepared from their cookbooks too.

3. Flan is just how it starts. It's a gateway dessert.
You start out with flan, pretty soon you're eating crème brûlée.

4. That is beautiful.
The serving platter looks like it was made for it. Good husband.
