What in hell does "yup" mean when it is in response to your response?

I told someone in my family that I could not make an event in Canada 3 week from now, and I get a Facebook response of "yup." I wanted to pick up the phone and scream at her.

16. I can think of three possibilities, depending on your relationship with this person:

"Yup" =
1) "I understand, but don't have time to write more."
2) "I agree - Canada is way far away and it's unreasonable for anyone to expect you to travel that far on short notice."
3) "That's what I expected from you, because you hate our family and never make any effort at all."

Without more details, I can't speculate on which of those is more likely...
