I'll Melt With You
This is a great 80's song!

I'll stop the world and melt with you
You've seen the difference and it's getting better all the time
There's nothing you and I won't do
I'll stop the world and melt with you

1. I loved that song.
But if I click the link will I really get that song, or will another evil song show up?

6. Actually it was in 1983...
And what is "rick rolled"?

I've seen the term being used, but never understood it...

8. Get the "Valley Girl" soundtrack
It's got lots of great 80's tunes, including "I'll Melt With You". For that matter, like Oh My God, watch the movie!

11. Wanna feel old? It came out in '83
TWENTY FIVE YEARS AGO!!!

I also loved the subplot with Julie's hippie parents.

15. Modern English were highly underrated
the entire album this song came from ("After The Snow") is amazing-- much better than the song, IMHO.

Unfortunately, I can't stand this damn song anymore, after hearing it in ads for every fast-food chain over the past two decades.

I was such a New Wave fan, and there were so, SO many great '80s tunes IMO, I can't understand why this one song, which wasn't that much bigger than many other '80s songs (and other '80s songs were much bigger), has become the iconic tuneage of that decade.

I'd have thought something by Howard Jones or Kajagoogoo would have claimed that prize.

On edit: grammar

17. EXACTLY! I can stomach "Too Shy"
(and I've never been a big Kajagoogoo fan) but I cannot tolerate "I Melt With You" anymore. I even used to sing/play that tune in a band back in the late 80s, to boot, which makes the whole situation even more sad/comical.

One good thing, though: their best albums are now available on eMusic, which makes them much easier to get a hold of than they were ten years ago.
