It is summer

I can only clean house so much

so

I am going to take a second job at McDonalds

I really don't need the money, but I need to do something productive

7 bucks an hour

30 hours a week

going to pay off some bills early and in 2 years going to be debt free except for my house payment and student loans.

If it works out well, maybe even work till those are paid off

then I would be able to cruise every 6 months :)

I live for cruises

3. Well, as a teacher you'll never be rich
The day doesn't end when the kids go home. You get paid nothing, it's stressfull and you can't have a bad day (like in other jobs). If you don't need the money do volunteer work - it can be great, change your life, and you know you've done something worthwhile.

7. I thought you just wanted something to do
but extra money so you can pay off your bills and retire early? Go for it! Sorry if I seemed dismissive.

Khash.

4. That reminds me of "American Beauty" remember when he took the job
with "the least amount of stress" and he worked at Smiley hamburgers?

It should be good to keep busy. I wish I had to guts to get a job like that. I can't even make myself do that. Maybe after I go up to Jersey in July I'll try to get a little job.

But congratulations on your new job and your new cruises!

8. they're not so great when you need them
My last job started at minimum wage working at a video store - this was what a master's degree got me. In some ways it was high stress because it involved working with the public (public = idiots), but in the ways that it was low stress it could be really boring and draining. I got that job because the Michigan economy was such shit that that was literally the only thing I could get. Thank god I'm in England now - I get paid to do what I love, and I get paid in pounds! Hot dog!! I'm still really poor by English standards, but it beats the hell out of being a minimum wage clerk.

9. maybe you'll quit smoking with all your free time taken up. I quit today and feel
wonderful (Chantix). LOL! Seriously sounds like a plan to become debt free. I used to work two jobs at a time (well only one day a weekend at the other job) and I loved it and loved the independance it brought to me.

11. Apparently you are supposed to take it with a full glass of water and some food. Did you try that?
For me I get the odd mild stomach pain and that is it.
