8. I read it, but since I know you from the Lounge let me offer my condolences here.

I'm sorry that you lost your father. I'm sorry that you lost him in such a horrible way. I'm sorry that Brendan will only know him through your stories, but rest assured that he will know his grandfather that way -- my grandfathers were dead long before I had a chance to know them but I have rich images of who they were based on the stories of my parents and their siblings.
