Lactose intolerant people I have a question
What about pizza? Pizza would hardly be worth eating without the oh-so-delicious cheese. Does eating pizza with cheese on it make you sick?

1. I remember I think LeftyMom (or one of the other vegans 'round here) mentioning a good vegan cheese
You could try that. I forget what it was called though.

11. I don't know that there's a "good" vegan cheese.
there might be a vegan cheese that doesn't cause instant projectile vomiting, or a vegan cheese that appears to share some of the characteristics of other things that melt, but "good"? Probably not.

13. No, it was really very good, and I'm not a vegan
Even Sniffa liked it. I used it on 3 pizzas...All delicious.

3. Squirting breastmilk over the pizza before it goes in the oven counteracts the lactose

6. actually, I don't like pizza. Must be a communist.
I tend to avoid overly cheezy food. I have a moderate intolerance.

Cheese and bread is not a meal, either. It is just boring, to me.

7. I can no longer digest any dairy without a Lactaid or other lactose supplement.
Even a little bit of dairy will make me miiiiiiiserable unless a supplement is involved.

Being lactose intolerant BITES.

It's possibly one of the worst things ever.

8. it depends on the cheese honestly; type and quantity
I am pretty mildly intolerant, but I also don't eat much dairy anyway. Some cheeses barely affect me, especially if they are not heavily on stuff, and when I make pizzas at home, I put just enough to hold things together.

10. Get pizza without cheese. I do. With a good sauce you won't even miss the cheese.

14. I used to tolerate cheese, but no more.
I think cheeseless pizza is tasty. I have also tried some tasty vegan mozzarella but haven't had it on a pizza yet.
