Is every win "Historic" and blah blah blah. I like soccer, but jesus can we be a little LESS dramatic.

Apparently Madrid tentatively offered €60m (£44.3m) and were told to go away and not come back unless they have a numer with three figures in it. That’s not so much Manchester United naming a price as Manchester United telling Madrid to eff off and never darken the Old Trafford doorway again.

A win is either "historic" or "emotional."

Remember the first week of the NFL after Katrina? The Saints upset Carolina in the first week, and for the rest of the entire goddamned fucking year the game was referred to as "the Saints' emotional win" as if that were the copyrighted title of the game.

Oh, and Marc-Andre Fleury's performance in Game 5 of this year's NHL final was "historic," too. Just so you know. Never mind the fact that any recorded game is a piece of history.
