How do I get rid of a broken garbage can?
I've been trying to get rid of an old, broken garbage can for about a month now. We have regular weekly garbage pick-ups here. I have three garbage cans full of garbage, and one old broken one with so many huge holes in it, it doesn't hold garbage anymore. But they won't pick it up! At first, I put it on top of the full garbage cans, sideways, so they could see it needed to be picked up. They put it back in a upright position. Then I turned in upside down. Same result. Then I left a note on it that said "This can is garbage". Same result. What does a person have to do to get rid of a garbage can? Suggestions, anyone?

1. Put a sign on that says, For Sale $5
someone will steal it then!

4. heh! Good luck!
I've been trying to get rid of one for months now. I've tried everything and nothing works. I've done the can on top of the other garbage, I've tried the sign, I've put the garbage can inside the other can, I've sat it out with the other garbage upside down and they still don't take it. Do they think I just bring empty garbage cans to the road for the hell of it?

5. Fire!

Or you could throw it in a dumpster
Or smash it to make it small
Or fill it with rocks and chuck it in the river.
Or just drive it to another neighborhood and let it become someone else's garbage can
If it is metal maybe you can recycle it, find out how much you get and steal other people's cans for recycling. Repeat until rich

6. bumper sticker
Put either a Bush/Cheney or Fox News bumper sticker on it. Then it'll be trash.
