2. Yes!
I told her that the food bank needs help but that doesn't appeal to her. So she will deliver meals...

3. That's really cool of her.
The meals on wheels here had to change the way they do things to cut costs. Now the deliver several days worth of frozen meals at once, and don't stick around to visit like they used to. :(

4. i saw the other night on the news, they interviewed some of the seniors and they
all said about the same thing, the meals on wheels people were sometimes the only people they got to talk to all day.

6. That made me really sad.
My grandmother lived out in BFE, Nevada and even before their podunk town had a school they had a senior center where they'd get fed and socialize, volunteers would teach classes, and they'd have bus trips into town twice a week. We had the service there after her burial, since most of her friends would be there anyhow. Their town was really, really poor and they managed to take care of their seniors properly, both in terms of their dietary needs and their need for community and intellectual stimulation.

It's sad that a big, prosperous town like this can't do any better than a teeny tiny one an hour's drive from the closest grocery store.

9. I go next door and visit my Grandparents after they have their breakfast
and I go see them after they wake up from their nap @3pm. My Grandmother says they are always looking forward to seeing me.

I have been working at the shop every day lately..so now I see them before they have their breakfast and I see them at night after they have their supper. Still twice a day....

7. My Grandfather doesn't like meals-on-wheels
but my Grandmother LOVES it! They have only been doing it a week so I think it's going to work out.
