PSI:My girlfriend got a THIRD DEGREE SUNBURN on Wed.
I am not sure if she used oil instead of sunscreen or what, but her chest is blistered and she called me at 3AM this morning crying in pain; on the way to the hospital. Doctor said he couldn't figure out why it was only in one place (upper cleavage/lower chest area) and not all over. But anyway: BE CAREFUL. PUT ON SOME G*&%$DAMN SPF (with UVA protection also, preferrably!)
Catnip spray bought in a pet supply store is said to be a better insect repellent than 'DEET.' Besides, it has the welcome or annoying side effect, depending on your attitude towards felines, of attracting cats.
Last year I took a walk down a Florida beach (trying to get away from my in-laws :puke:) I didn't wear any sunscreen and my shoulders and back got burned. It didn't really effect me until I got back to VA the next day and by then I was throwing up :puke:
area because she had previously put perfume or perfumed lotion or something there. Sometimes that can cause a terrible sun reaction. My sympathies to her. That is so painful.
6. That happened to me once. I was at a beach and it was windy & cold so we didn't put on much
sunscreen. By night I was the deepest read all over. By the next day blisters. Then I visited my grandmother and aunt at a swanky resort as skin was falling off my face in sheets. I could tell how disgusting I looked just by staring into the faces of others.
you just don't feel the sun and don't think you need sunscreen. I burned the hell out of the tops of my feet once like on a windy, cloudy day at the beach. I wore a long-sleeved shirt and a hat and was otherwise well protected, but I was barefoot.
So you can see her muscle and bone where the skin is missing? She's got second degree burns at best, but I know how much those hurt. She'll get better.
