5. They have the most boring style of play ever
They're playing for penalty shots, and that doesn't always work out so well for them.

6. History is against Spain on June 22 in terms of penalty shots.
I think Spain has lost three times on this date between World Cup and Euro games.

7. Then again, "Past performance is no indication of future results."

21. A "boring style of play"
is pretty much a given in this game. I was rooting for Italy because of a Spain-rooting co-worker whom I absolutely loathe. I actually blew in sick today just so that I could take a pass on his loudmouthed horseshit. My favorite team from the outset of this thing has been whoever's playing Spain.

2. Italy has mastered the flop
They don't even get carded like Spain does.

3. Forza Azzurri, baby.
Italy's defense is wearing down Spain. At minute 75, Spain only has half the scoring attempts it did in the first half.

Still, I dread this all coming down to a shoot-out.

11. football (soccer) is BORING
two and a half hours of no scoring.

But, I am astonished at the fan support. Talk about committed.

Spain clearly was the superior team. Italy was too fixated on setting up headers for shots. Spain's passing game was superb, especially in their patience to work the ball around the net. Italy was fortunate they were not beat in regulation.

I do enjoy the camera shots. The banter of the commentators I can do without, and I did with mute.

13. I am thrilled that SPAIN won.
And no, that game was NOT boring, it was exciting. Spain did a fantastic job keeping control of the ball and using time and defense to their advantage.

:bounce: :bounce:

And for the Italians, well you know the drill, karma is a ......  Schauspieler!!

12. This game was a perfect example of why soccer SUCKS
1) 0-0 draw with hardly any action
2) Italy playing like the biggest pansies ever. They looked like they wanted a 0-0 tie
3) There is a flop every 3 minutes.
4) Almost 0 shots on goal worth mentioning
5) Stupid penalty kicks that have nothing to do with the game deciding the game.
6) Yellow cards for the stupidest reasons
7) Offsides on almost every attack
8) 35 minutes before a single corner kick
9) Players walking around in overtime too tired to do anything.

THIS GAME SUCKED!!!!!!!

15. The ref from Germany was terrible
He threw yellow cards for the stupidest reasons, and then neglected other legitimate complaints. Let's hope he is no where near the final game!!

20. No, they left Saturday morning
to their vacation spot. I told them you leave Friday and if they are going to see Neuschwanstein to give you a call. I guess it will be one day this week.
