10. I like the pods to still be nice and crunchy...
So I saute them for just a minute or two in butter and garlic--barely enough to heat them through. I could eat them this way every single night and never get tired of them.

7. I ate a Nutrageous bar earlier, and I'm not hungry now, so
I'll probably take a vitamin and skip dinner. OktoberKid is at Grandma's for a few days, so this is no big deal. :)

12. Now that I think about it, gingerbread men aren't dinner.
I'm thinking something along the lines of chips and salsa and a beer.

13. Smoked baby back ribs
Threw a couple of racks on the smoker, six hours smoking with hickory from the woods out back. put the bbq sauce on the last hour of smoking. They were falling off the bone tender, corn on the cob, and homemade rolls.

15. Sgetti...
Started with some Olive oil, Onions, and Garlic. Let them sautee some, added in some ground beef, sautee some more. Then add in some good Ragu sgetti sauce...

Cook the noodles to perfect Al Dente goodness, and combine.

it was not hard or anything, and probably not up the standards of some around here, but it sure was good.

It was also the first red meat I have had in a month.

Edited on Sun Jun-29-08 08:33 PM by jasonc
I had to use what was available and would feed myself, my fiance, and 8 kids...

the Ragu was in a bag too, never saw it before, but it was pretty good.

edit, yes send me the recipe. I am cooking more and more lately and always like good recipes.

I actually made my first post in the cooking and baking group today...

By the way, I could not find the NY times bread recipe, I searched and everything.

26. Steak, baked potatoes, and the first ears of corn.
They weren't local, but they were pretty good. Local corn is only knee-high (by the 4th of July).... won't be ready for a couple of weeks.
