My Grandfather would eat Bugles, drink a beer or two and watch Gunsmoke.

Yes, it is the simply things in life.

3. I have been to Shiner, Texas many times with my Grandfather.
Nothing like a good, cold Shiner beer.

2. Do they still sell Bugles?
Am I thinking of the same thing? They were these cheesy things to snack on when I was a child.

My grandpa thought it was cereal, and had a bowl of them with sugar once. He complained that they were way too cheesy, and didn't want that kind of cereal anymore.

5. I just like the plain corn bugles.
I found them at the store yesterday, had to buy some for the 4th.

I don't blame your Grandfather, I wouldn't want cheesy cereal either.

7. Oh, he deserved it. He was such an ornery bastid.
He was so cranky and fought constantly with his own kids.

But for some reason, he just adored me, his little grand daughter, and treated me like his little Princess. He took me everywhere with him. I had that ole fart wrapped around my little finger. And honestly, I truly miss cuddling up with him in his lap.

However, this was the same ornery old fart that convinced me we had to go water the elephant in the basement every night. Back in the days that the furnace took up the entire room and you had to water the humidifier every night.

I mentioned that we had an elephant in the basement at school, and they thought I was nuts. I INSISTED my grandpa would not lie to me! Boy, was I pissed when he had to set me straight on that.

But I still really miss that old fart. :-(

8. I was close to my Grandfather,
My Grandmother was always mad because I would rather spend time with him.

We were on the farm, I would rather be outside.

Grandpa was cool.
