squoil update
about a month ago I found a baby rock squirrel and was looking for info here http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=105&topic_id=7824632

Well I took a few more pictures yesterday and here they are. It is doing fine and is SO FREAKING CUTE I think I need a dentist.









She (pretty sure it is a she) self weaned as of yesterday and is now on rodent pellets and assorted nuts fruits and grasses.

2. so far she does
but she is getting strong and FAST so it is kind of scary - don't want to drop her. She runs (jumps) to the door of the cage to come out and I can pick her up and hold her. She will run around on the couch or the floor and come to fingers wiggling or holding a peanut or something.

I have a "bottomless" cage we are going to try outside to see what she thinks of dirt and grass. She sure wanted to dig in the houseplants. There is potting soil all over the place.:rofl:

4. I keep reading that they get mean, but all the web sites I have seen are for tree squirrels
so maybe it will stay cute.

Oh god it is so entertaining - much more that "real" rodent pets I have had. It rolls around and wrestles with a toilet paper tube or a small stuffed cat mouse I put in with it. It really makes you LOL!
