Can I talk about my political life in here?

What I mean is, if I am having a campaign fundraiser (hypothetically), can I invite people via DU? Or will Skinner beat me over the head with large pieces of mining equipment for doing so?

The reason I ask is that I already have an announced opponent for the 2009 city elections, and it's a guy with a good amount of disposable income, no family, a limited social life, and very few ethical scruples.
