I need somebody to come over and eat most of my cooking.
I've put on a little weight lately, and I think it's because:

1. I love to cook
2. I make things LeftyKid doesn't like
3. Since it's just the two of us, that means I have to eat them all myself.

I can't always make smaller batches of things, due to pan sizes, etc. So I think I just need somebody to eat my creations for me, or I'm going to be wider than I am tall.

Anybody want to come over and eat 3/4 or so of a lemon pound cake? I want to make one, but if I do I'll wind up eating all of it over the next few days, and my waistline will not thank me.

9. It's a bunch of starches to act as a binder.
Tapioca, potato, I forget what else. You blend it with water and add it to baked goods to keep everything glued together nicely.

7. I don't know how Trin, Dora and Piglet would handle two dogs.
Actually, I do. Trin would go ballistic, try to kill them, and then hide. Dora would try to play with them, and Piglet would try to make them pet her.

If you feel like a road trip: bring the goodies, pick me up, and then we could visit Tijuana and bribe the border agents...on the way back in...of course...:yoiks:

12. If gas weren't so high, I'd be on my way.
I'd love to see you, and I could use some cheap booze and another tattoo.

13. Isn't gas, like, $14.96 a half-gallon out there?
It would be great to see you again, too. It's a quick trip, for just a one day conference.

14. It's down to a mere $4.36 a gallon!
:wow:

let's see:

500 miles each way= 1000 miles/ 30 miles per gallon hwy= 33.3 gallons= just a shade under $150.

If gas were reasonable, I'd do it. Right now? Totally not in the budget. :(

15. I'll forgive you....this time.
:P

Anyway, I'll be sequestered in a big conference hall, intermittently doing :boring: while trying to look interested.

Well; not really but I haven't had dinner yet. :silly: It was just to hot and muggy to cook and
to hot to go out and buy bread. :( I'm hungry and it was to hot outside to go to the store
and lemon cake sounds wonderful but so does oven fried chicken and mashed potato's! :P

18. got a freezer?
maybe that would be a good option. Multiple benefits, you could get several meals out of one batch of cooking and your waistline would be kissing your feet in gratitude (not that I'm implying your waistline is an issue but you brought it up).
