I feel sad tonight.
I went out with my "friend" tonight (honestly I am not sure what to call him because I don't really know what we are to each other and I hate the word boyfriend for some reason). He is having trouble at work and is thinking about quitting, even though he does not have anything else lined up. I am trying to be supportive- it's his decision and shouldn't affect me at all but I am not sure I think it is the right thing to do. He is quite unhappy and his boss is an idiot.

Anyway, he dropped me off at my door. I just feel lonely for some reason.

1. would a hug help?
 can't hurt, right? I'm sorry you're feeling lonely. You've always got us, such as we are.

5. Why is it a red flag?
People hate their jobs and quit all the time. And it isn't like he has nothing else coming in. He was in the military for 20 years.

I just can't let go of this one. I can't, I won't do it. Not yet anyway.

6. I don't think it's necessarily a red flag
he clearly doesn't have a history of not sticking to stuff if he was in the military for 20. And sometimes jobs suck so bad you do need to just walk away before you go postal.

7. I am not the kind of person that could just walk away from a job
with nothing to fall back on. It makes me so nervous to even think about that.

But that's me not him, and I have to try and understand, even if it freaks me out a little.

8. Sounds like he is not the same page in the book of life. I could be
wrong. Have been before and will be again. He is focused on his job...I would keep seeing him but, NOT exclusively. You are too old to go steady and you are not engaged, right?

9. No, not engaged
It's only been 5 months or so. I am definitely NOT dating anyone else. I don't want to see anyone else. I cannot bear the thought of starting over AGAIN. There are so many horrible, yucky guys out there.
