Etiquette question...
How much should a person give as a gift to your ex-drug dealers kid.

It's not for me, but the question came up and I said, well it depends, was it pot, meth, smack or coke...

She hemmed and hawed so I said, gotcha. I suggested, since there hasn't been a "business relationship" for more than a decade, or so I am told, that a gift of around 100-150 depending, of course, on if you now exchange Christmas Cards instead of frantic after midnight phone calls...

So help me on this. I am sure this comes up on occasion and now that Miss Manners has gone to her reward, I have nowhere else to turn.

4. There is a class at MSSU that a book written by Miss Manners is the text.
It was so Sociology class a friend was taking. I did not know that a table setting was so important to social structure! They spent a week on it in class. I got to here all about it. Maybe I should have listened to her more closely. But I was to busy with projects Electronic Field Production class.

5. My mom was a home Ec teacher...
And I learned all about that shit, I suppose, through osmosis.

But it took about three or four years of dating after high school before I could over look a table fauxpaux.

Literally!

The first time a woman picked up the dinner fork to eat her salad, it was as if I was injected with Salt Peter...

8. You've been injected with saltpeter?
Wow, and I thought smoking banana peels and Queen Anne's Lace was far out, man.

:hi:

when I go out, the question is which spork to use for the salad, and which one for the soup.

Ok, series table manners questions: when my wife eats half her salad, and passes the rest to me (human garbage disposal), do I use her fork, or mine? And what do I do with my empty salad plate? Put her half salad on it? Put her plate on top? Put my plate in front of her? Throw mine over my shoulder for luck? Finally, if someone is breastfeeding the kid in a restaurant, is it ok to stare? And is staring best done with mouth open or closed?
