Another reason to love my employer.....
Last month, it was 200 bucks of gas cards... Which was fan-freakin-tastic!

Yesterday, the owner noticed that a lot of the people driving company vehicles had badly cracked windshields (they're on the road a lot, in industrial environments, so it happens frequently). The official policy is that each driver is responsible for his or her own maintenance items, but the owner decided that he would have a glass place come to the building to replace or repair windshields, and that the company would pay half of any deductables. And they extended this to me, as well- even though my car is my own.

Why can't all business entities realize that little gestures like this go a LONG way to creating employee satisfaction and fierce loyalty?

2. Yeah, I'm all smiles today....
They're ordering out for lunch, too- since so many of us won't be able to use our cars.

:bounce:

3. Tell me that you work for a small company.
Because our company would never do such a thing.

4. I guess it would be considered small....

Just over 50 employees in 4 states....

On edit: It feels much larger to me now, though. When I started in '05, there were only 23 employees.

My previous job was with one of the largest companies in the world. Something like 30 thousand employees worldwide in all of the subsidiaries. And you were lucky to get a 1% raise each year.....
