I was obviously in a time warp today

I left home at 7:55 a.m. It's a half-hour drive to work. I listened to the 8 a.m. news and a bit of the morning show after that - the one where they announce the time every two minutes.

I got to work (and an empty parking lot) at 7:15 a.m.

This is not a riddle. I have no idea what happened.
