a poem: what comes to your mind when reading this?

i'm not usually a fan of rhyming poetry necessarily, but what do y'all think?

---------------------------
"untitled" by annoymous

don't mess with the chakra
of this soul, so olde
sing me your graces
cherubic faces
my heart, dies, starts to mould

exquisite elephants
trumpet their triumphs
dandelions burst
wishes scatter;
timid, tender,
telephonic matter

pitter my patter
it's time to retire
leaving your here
in murk and mire

oh, sire
my breast shall forever
be full,
on fire.

1. My dear kat_kringle!
Well, it certainly is interesting...

I'm getting the feeling that making it rhyme did rather dictate what words would be used...

But I could be wrong!

I'm not certain what it's about, either...

It has a pleasant rhythm to it...

Did you write it?

Whoever did has ability...

That's my take!

And thank you for posting this!

:hi:

2. this poem:
was busted out by yours truly in about three minutes, for someone that doesn't know me (and i don't know them), that i admire very much.

and you're right on---when i choose to write a rhyming poem, it's very difficult to say what you want to, but it's a good exercise for me, because it forces me to write in a structured form.

i really prefer free verse, or an incorporation of rhyme and free verse.

i'm glad you liked it, and i really appreciate your input!

thank you, love!

3. You're most welcome!
One of these days, when I have something worthwhile to post, I'll post one of mine...

I only do free verse!

It works for me...

6. amazing
i tell you, it took my breath away (your poem).

i loved this line: "Laid it over her heated limbs"

i don't think i've read something like this that incapsulates (is that a word, even? :) ) ones feelings and thoughts and experiences in such a beautiful, dreamy and wonderful manner.

my only suggestion: post more!!!!

7. Aw, thanks!
I do post them as I have them...

My muse is, alas, silent for now...

But she will awaken, and then there will be more...

I'm so glad you liked it!

9. I feel pretty helpless under those circumstances...
Whatever I write then is usually dreck...

But I've been told by those who know more than I that I need to keep on keeping on...

I haven't been inspired this week because of my friend's death...

I'm just going to ride things out till I feel better...

One of these days, I will feel like writing again.

Just not now...
