Anime nerds, who's the best obnoxious idiot in all of anime?

You know who they are. Cocky. Full of themselves. Stupid. They swagger, brag, and practically beg to have their asses kicked.
This one, in my opinion, is the best:

It's Suzuka from Yu Yu Hakusho!

Leader of Team Uraotogi in the Dark Tournament, Suzuka had it all: an incredibly stupid appearance (seriously, what the fuck is he trying to be? A dayglo clown with weeds for hair?), overwhelming confidence, and absolutely nothing to back up said confidence. Disguising himself as an old man, he hoped to use the tournament as a means to take over the world. As is turns out, though, he was weaker than the rest of his own team, and lost his battle to Genkai very badly. Hilariously badly. 'Epic fail' badly. This is good, because this guy is such an idiot (dare I say 'a clown'?) that you WANT to see him get pounded mercilessly, and you will not be disappointed. Apparently he has the stupid pounded out of him, because he turns out to be a decent guy afterwards, but until then, he stands as the most obnoxious idiot ever in the history of anime.
...That is, unless one of you nerds out there can come up with someone worse.

But that is a funny post. Some of that stuff is just out there. I like the porno anime better.

Good fighting...based usually on strategy more than brute force. The Dark Tournament, especially, is awesome...it manages to make every minor villain seem very important, and some of them are real sleazeballs.

Weirds me out.

from Urusei Yatsura. not a bad character most times, but damn he deserves to get pistol-whipped on occassion.

That kind of guy. He's my favorite character in that one (outside of Tomo), but damn is he a dumbass at times.

In Berserk there's one particular douche who somehow finds himself in a high position. I believe due to blood ties. I forget his name though, but he would always go over it, oh so pompously. The title and everything. So often he would boast about secret techniques handed down over the generations. He was a coward and when he would make to run away he would label the manoeuvre an intelligent retreat, something like that. He failed to take responsibility, instead sticking the blame on others. He was sexist as well, towards poor Caska.

Team Rocket are awesome.

Hmmm... even though he's not a villain, Don Kanonji is fucking annoying.

God, I hated Mr. Satan. Wanted so bad to see him get an ass-beating from SOMEbody.
But by the end of DBZ you can sort of see he's not such a bad guy, and somewhat heroic where it really counts.
He's still an asshole, though.

about mister satan, but you gotta remember, he did take a punch from Cell, and survive....

Of course, that was pretty much the whole point of his character.

The only reason I got into this series is because a couple of my friends introduced me to the series after a screening of AMV Hell 3, and I was hooked because the characters reminded me of people I knew in college.


:rant:Good gods, did ADV screw up the English language dub. Osaka should sound like she's constantly baked like she does in the original, not like a very poor impersonation of George W. Bush.


One of my other favorite obnoxious idiots is Itsuki Takeuchi from Intial D. The bit where he found out that he got conned into buying an AE85 levin instead of an AE86 Trueno was priceless.

However nobody here has mentioned the Lord Goddess Queen of Anime Obnoxious Idocy: Excel (The character too much for one English language voice actress)

gets smacked around by Yomi a lot... heck she even got mayaa to scratch her...

i wish i had a teacher like yukari-sensei in high school... that would have been fun... a teacher nearly as dysfunctional as her students :D
