Tomorrow I interview for a promotion...
I'm oh so nervous.

I've been with the company almost 22 years. My direct manager just got a promotion. He is the only reason I stayed in the department for as long as I did. So now he's going and my choice comes down to stay where I'm at (and don't get me wrong, I do like my job, but I don't know if I want to be doing it for 20 more years) or trying to finally move up the corporate ladder.

I decided to try to expand my knowledge and move into other areas.

Have I made the biggest mistake of my life?

1. I was given the same opportunity
a few months ago, and decided to interview for the promotion. I also liked my position so it too was a tough decision, but I'm glad I decided to opt for a new challenge.

But it'd be a title and an opportunity to learn new things and, hopefully, branch out from there.
